Student Guest Bus Riders

Will your student be a guest rider on a bus other than their assigned one? If so, you must fill out a Guest Rider Request Form.

Daily Folders

Daily Folders will come home with students each school day and are to be brought back to school the next day. A Monthly PBIS Behavior Calendar with school events is attached to the inside cover of the folder. Your child’s daily behavior is communicated on the calendar each day. Parents need to initial each day to indicate that they have reviewed their child’s behavior calendar.

Wednesday Folders

Every Wednesday your child will bring home their “WEDNESDAY FOLDER”. Inside you will find the work your child has completed over the last week and important information from the office including menus, newsletters, and announcements. Community information and flyers are also sent home in Wednesday Folders. Please review the contents in each Wednesday Folder and return the folder to school on Thursday.

Photos & Videotapes

Photos and videotapes of students taken at performances, special events and around school may be used in the media including, but not limited to, newspapers and the Internet.

PARENTS WHO DO NOT WANT PICTURES OR VIDEOTAPES OF THEIR CHILDREN USED IN THE MEDIA OR SCHOOL PUBLICATIONS SHOULD NOTIFY THE CALVERT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION BY SEPTEMBER 24, 2021.

School Spirit

Fridays are “School Spirit Days” and we encourage everyone to wear school colors or spirit wear, including their “Be Kind” t-shirts. School colors are red, white, and blue! Watch for updated school spirit wear order forms in the Wednesday folders throughout the year.

School Counselor

Each elementary school in Calvert County has a full time School Counselor assigned to serve the needs of its population. The goal of the Guidance Program is to facilitate the personal and academic growth of all students. The program encourages the development of educational and career decision-making skills and promotes the development of interpersonal skills of students. This goal is reached by teaching classroom guidance lessons that focus on positive self-image, decision making skills, prevention of bullying and teasing, and character education. The counselor is available to help students and meet with parents about any concerns that may be affecting their child. The counselor will meet with students by appointment, by request from staff members or parents, or in the case of a crisis. The school counselor may be contracted by calling or writing the school.
